Lisa Molinaro

About

Lisa is a classical pianist and an illustrator based in Italy.

Fascinated by the world of sounds and colours since she was a child, she spent whole days in her little room drawing and daydreaming. At the age of 8, after listening to a CD by the pianist Martha Argerich gifted to her by her dad, she began her first piano lessons with her first teacher, Teresa, and from that day piano became her new inseparable friend!

She attended the Conservatory “D. Cimarosa” in Italy under the guide of M° Lina Tufano and after her degree with “summa cum laude’ she moved to Paris where she had the opportunity to continue her studies with the famous Turkish pianist Huseyin Sermet.

In that period, after an exhibition of some works of the illustrator Lorenzo Mattotti, she discovered the magic world of illustration and in the same period she took part in some illustration's workshops continuing in the meanwhile her concertistic activity.

When she returned to Italy, she was admitted to the Master of illustration organized by Ars in Fabula at the University of fine arts of Macerata where in 2019 she obtained her degree.

She feels inspired by many different things but, in particular, she enjoys creating projects that combine music and the world of illustration at the same time, telling, through images, works of classical musical repertoire, thus realizing a cognitive and educational purpose too.

Alice: «Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?». «In that direction – the Cat said – lives a Hatter: and in that direction, lives a March Hare. Visit either you like: they’re both mad.»
